Keeping you safe and sound

Once you have been contacted about a possible car share match, we suggest that you adopt this common-sense approach to ensure your safety:

  • Avoid swapping home addresses with your car share companion before meeting them
  • Meet in a public place, possibly at work, in the first instance
  • Tell someone you trust who you'll be travelling with, where you are going and when
  • Show each other some form of ID as you meet. This is both reassuring and enables you to identify each other
  • You are under no obligation to go ahead with any car share. If you have any doubts about your travelling companion, for any reason, you should avoid travelling with them
  • If you have any problems please contact your workplace administrator
